Job Title: Optometrist Technician

Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented Optometrist Technician to join our team in Trichy. The candidate will be responsible for conducting eye tests, assisting customers in selecting appropriate eyewear, and supporting sales activities. This role requires strong communication skills, a basic understanding of optometry practices, and an interest in customer service and sales.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct preliminary eye testing and vision assessments for customers.

Assist optometrists in performing detailed eye examinations.

Guide customers in selecting suitable frames and lenses based on prescription and lifestyle needs.

Support sales activities by recommending eyewear and optical products.

Ensure accurate measurement of eye power using diagnostic equipment.

Maintain customer records and update prescriptions in the system.

Provide after-sales support, including adjustments, fittings, and minor repairs of spectacles.

Maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness of optical equipment and testing area.

Required Qualifications

Diploma / Certificate in Optometry or a related field (preferred).

Freshers or candidates with 6 months to 1 year of experience in an optical store/eye clinic are welcome.

Basic knowledge of eye testing procedures and optical instruments.

Strong communication skills in Tamil and English.
