Seeking a highly skilled Breakwater Specialist to lead the design, planning, and construction of robust breakwater systems that protect port infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in coastal and marine engineering.

The successful candidate will oversee the expansion of ports, ensuring timely completion, adherence to budget and quality standards, while collaborating with government bodies, contractors, and consultants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design & Construction of Breakwater Systems: Design, plan, and construct rubblemound, vertical, and hybrid breakwaters to ensure protection of port infrastructure.
  • Project Management: Oversee port expansion projects, managing timelines, budget, and quality standards.
  • Coastal & Marine Engineering: Apply expertise in hydrodynamics, coastal erosion, and sediment transport to optimize breakwater and shoreline protection systems.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders: Collaborate closely with government agencies, environmental organizations, contractors, and consultants to ensure smooth project execution and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Safety & Environmental Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to HSE guidelines and sustainable practices to minimize environmental impact during construction.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in breakwater construction, port development, or coastal engineering projects.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing breakwater systems, including knowledge of materials, hydrodynamics, and coastal processes.
  • Ability to manage large teams and collaborate across departments to meet project goals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills in challenging coastal environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • B.E. (Civil Engineering) or equivalent.
  • Coastal Engineering Certification (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Experience working in the Kerala region or on Indian port development projects.
