Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will have expertise in aircraft system qualification and certification, as well as strong process optimization, organizational, and planning skills. Experience with project management, work package coordination, landing gear systems development, and analysis is also required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and select design solutions to meet programme requirements, balancing technical and project perspectives.
  • Support Landing Gear System (LGS) integration through system/sub-system interface document development.
  • Lead LGS Qualification and Certification activities for future modifications/repairs, including planning, oversight, and evidence evaluation.
  • Define and oversee Test and Evaluation activities, including physical tests and simulations for compliance verification.
  • Manage system/sub-system requirements and generate specifications for Main and Nose Gear, Wheel, Tyre, and Brake systems.
  • Control project timelines, ensuring delivery on schedule, within cost, and quality standards.
  • Provide support for legacy military systems, addressing queries, defect reports, and operational occurrences.

Required Skills:

  • Aircraft System Qualification and Certification expertise.
  • Strong process optimization, organizational, and planning skills.
  • Project management and work package coordination experience.
  • Landing Gear systems development and analysis expertise.
  • Verification & Validation proficiency, including lab and flight test analysis.
  • Design of Experiments (DOE) and test case creation experience.
  • Ability to manage and deliver large, complex projects.
  • Technical specification writing at both equipment and system levels.
  • Software/systems engineering expertise, particularly in Integration & Verification testing.
  • Aerospace background with familiarity with relevant standards.
  • Proficiency in tools like Catia V5, MSC ADAMS, MATLAB, Simulink, or IBM DOORS.
  • Experience with LGS Qualification activities and testing methodologies.
