Land Acquisition Expert Wanted

At a leading rental housing developer, we are revolutionizing the Indian market through our Build-to-Rent (BTR) development platform. As a pioneering company, we operate under three key verticals.

Our mission is to create high-quality, purpose-built rental assets across India's top cities, starting with Mumbai. We aim to redefine the rental experience by providing safe, comfortable, and affordable homes for thousands of families.

We seek an exceptional Land Acquisition Specialist to spearhead our land sourcing and acquisition strategy. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and securing land parcels in targeted micro-markets, evaluating feasibility, engaging with brokers and landowners, and facilitating the entire acquisition and closing process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and evaluate land parcels in pre-defined target micro-markets,
  • Build and maintain a strong network of brokers, landowners, developers, and other intermediaries,
  • Actively track market opportunities and upcoming transactions,
  • Conduct initial due diligence, including land title, zoning, FSI potential, ready reckoner rates, and development control regulations,
  • Coordinate with internal analysts to prepare feasibility studies, financial models, and market assessments,
  • Assess alignment of land parcels with our product design and business model,
  • Organize and facilitate meetings between key stakeholders, including legal, finance, and management teams,
  • Work with legal counsel, consultants, and internal teams to ensure smooth execution of deals,
  • Facilitate documentation, compliance, and closure of acquisition transactions.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance, Architecture, or related field (MBA preferred)
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in land acquisition, real estate development, or investment
  • Strong knowledge of land acquisition processes
  • Proven track record of successfully sourcing and closing land transactions
  • Established network with brokers, landowners, and developers in MMR (mandatory)
  • Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and communication skills
