Location: Project-based, Pan-India (Extensive site travel and on-site deployment for

minimum 6 – 12 months)

About the Role

We are seeking experienced, hands-on, and dedicated Senior Commissioning

Engineers to join our project execution and commissioning team. This role is critical

in ensuring the successful start-up, stabilization, and handover of process plants

across various sites. The ideal candidate must possess a deep understanding of

process equipment, control systems, and commissioning workflows, along with

strong team management and documentation skills.

This is a site-based role and involves full-time presence at one or more

commissioning sites for a minimum period of 6 to 12 months.

Roles & Responsibilities

Process Monitoring & Control

- Ensure smooth commissioning of plant and equipment by closely monitoring and

controlling process parameters such as pressure, temperature, level, heating rate,

feed rate, and vacuum.

- Maintain a consistent focus on product quality, process efficiency, and energy/mass

balance.

- Operate and oversee plant activities through SCADA/HMI interfaces with

understanding of PLC-based control systems.

Troubleshooting & Problem Solving

- Take ownership of root cause analysis and on-ground troubleshooting during startup and trial phases.

- Provide real-time solutions to technical problems that arise during commissioning

and stabilize process variations.

Equipment & Systems Familiarity

- Should have hands-on operational understanding of:

• Heat Exchangers, Screw Conveyors, Reactors, Pressure Vessels

• ID Fans, Roots Blowers, Gear Oil Pumps, Centrifugal Pumps

• Tank Farm Operations and Utility Systems

Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain thorough documentation related to commissioning stages, checklists,

deviation reports, logbooks, and trials.

- Prepare daily, weekly, and final commissioning reports with actionable insights and

submit to senior management.

- Support timely updates to commissioning manuals and Standard Operating

Procedures (SOPs).

Planning & Time Management

- Ensure that each phase of commissioning is executed in a timely manner, tracking

progress against planned schedules.

- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to achieve milestones within deadlines

without compromising safety or quality.

Safety & Compliance

- Take lead in implementing and maintaining site safety protocols for personnel and

equipment during all phases of commissioning.

- Ensure compliance with commissioning documentation processes including NCR

(Non-Conformance Report) and DCR (Design Change Request) workflows.

Process Understanding & Control

- Strong understanding of P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagram) reading and

validation.

- Familiarity with PID-based process control logic, loop tuning, interlocks, and

process safety systems.

- Support and actively participate in emergency shutdowns, startups, and process

normalization activities.

Team Leadership & Communication

- Lead site teams and local manpower for efficient execution of commissioning

activities.

- Act as a bridge between design/engineering team and site team to resolve technical

queries quickly.

- Share learnings and observations with the team to ensure continuous improvement.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in commissioning pyrolysis plants, distillation units, or chemical/thermal

process systems is an added advantage.

- Exposure to Boiler, Utility, and Balance of Plant (BOP) commissioning desirable.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Power Point tools and report preparation.

- Familiarity with ISO, audit readiness, and structured documentation practices.
