Job Summary

  • Provide customer support via phone, email, or instant message to consumers.

Responsibilities:

  1. Act as primary contact for inbound customer issues and escalate more technical product-related issues to the proper Product Support department.
  2. Process a high volume of consumer inquiries of FIS products and services and resolve a targeted percentage of those inquiries.
  3. Troubleshoot customer problems, identify root cause, and use tools and resources appropriately to determine how to resolve customer problems.
  4. When unable to resolve problems in a reasonable amount of time, escalate to appropriate resource and follow up on escalated issues with coaching and mentoring to learn appropriate solution and expand overall knowledge.
  5. Track and document inbound support requests and ensure proper notation of customer problems or issues.
  6. Update customer information and ensure accurate entry of contact information.
  7. Meet standards of job, such as quality standards, adherence to schedule, and average handle time.
  8. May provide guidance and/or mentoring to less experienced Customer Service Associates - Consumer.
  9. Other related duties assigned as needed.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Knowledge of company's products, services, and business operations to enable resolution of customer inquiries.
  • Excellent customer service skills that build high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer navigation and operation skills.
  • Demonstrates effective people skills and sensitivities when dealing with others.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
