Job Title: Procurement Specialist

The primary objective of this role is to source and procure high-quality technical spare parts and services to support our vessels' operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with Superintendents to coordinate the supply of technical spare parts and services, ensuring timely delivery and meeting operational requirements.
  • Handle purchasing activities, including arranging logistics for spares delivery and negotiating competitive quotations from suppliers worldwide.
  • Send enquiries to suppliers for quotations on various services, including annual/bi-annual/5 yearly/10 yearly services of Navigation equipment, FFA & LSA, underwater inspections & hull cleaning, and supply of technical spare parts and anodes bulk purchase.
  • Liaise with vessels to obtain necessary information for requisitions, facilitate communication between parties, and ensure smooth procurement processes.
  • Follow up with quotations from suppliers, verify vendor invoices against quotations, and process invoices within the credit term period.
  • Prepare purchase orders, delivery orders/proforma invoices/packing lists, etc., and assist in logistics arrangement (air freight/sea freight/land transport/sea transport).
  • Liaise with agents and ships for supply of spare parts and repair services at convenient ports, ensuring efficient and cost-effective solutions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Manager/Superintendents, supporting the team in achieving its goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Min. 3 years of experience in spares stores services and technical purchasing, with a strong background in procurement and supply chain management.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills required, with ability to work effectively with stakeholders and build strong relationships.
