Job Title: Senior Quality Assurance Lead

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quality Assurance Lead to join our team. As a key member of our QA department, you will be responsible for leading our QA efforts and ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Should have a minimum of 8+ years of experience in functional and automating testing of SAAS products and leading a team of engineers.
  • Must have experience working with public or private cloud platforms.
  • Certification in AWS, Azure, or GCP is highly desirable.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation of multi-tier Enterprise and/or Cloud, SaaS applications is essential.
  • Must have experience with microservices architecture using Kubernetes and Docker containers.
  • Hands-on experience with functional UI and API automation is necessary.
  • Linux knowledge is mandatory.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead QA deliveries and report to the QA manager for continuous feedback and improvement.
  2. Ensure all development tasks meet quality criteria through test planning and automation planning.
  3. Work closely with the engineering team to understand product architecture and functionality to ensure good quality feature delivery.
  4. Take ownership of release deliverables along with multitasking and mentoring.
  5. Generate QA artifacts like Test plan, test cases, and test execution reports, release deployment guide etc.
  6. Identify, document, and track defects. Collaborate with the development team to resolve issues.
  7. Prepare and configure test environments, including software installations and configurations.
  8. Conduct exploratory testing to find defects that might not be covered by test cases.
  9. Deploy the microservices application in Engineering environment.
  10. Support the SRE team for the deployment of production releases.
  11. Improve processes for test plan reviews and ensure that test plans get reviewed by all stakeholders. Review the Test Strategies and ensure the thoroughness of the test scenarios.
  12. Assist in troubleshooting customer issues and providing root cause analysis whenever needed.
