Job Opportunity: Data Governance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Data Governance Specialist. This is a key role that will play a crucial part in driving the strategic direction of our data governance initiatives.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of data governance principles and practices, with experience in implementing and maintaining data management systems, processes, and procedures. They will be responsible for developing and implementing data governance strategies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and collaborating with stakeholders across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement data governance policies, standards, and procedures
  • Conduct data quality assessments and develop improvement plans
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify data governance needs and opportunities
  • Develop and maintain data dictionaries, metadata repositories, and other documentation
  • Provide training and support to end-users on data governance best practices
  • Monitor and report on data governance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs)

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in data governance or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of data governance principles, standards, and best practices
  • Experience with data management systems, tools, and technologies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
