Job Title: Controller of Cash Disbursements

Description:

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cash disbursement processes, including vendor payments, team operations, and process improvement. He or she will be responsible for overseeing the timely and accurate processing of all payments, vendor invoices, and expense reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the accounts payable function to ensure robust financial performance and accurate records.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor payables policies and procedures for efficiency, compliance, and control.
  • Lead the accounts payable team, including hiring, training, goal setting, and ongoing development.
  • Review, validate, and approve invoices; ensure adherence to company policies, contractual terms, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records and reconciliations; oversee month-end and year-end closing processes for payables.
  • Optimize payables processes, automation, and risk prevention controls.
  • Prepare, analyze, and report on payables metrics: aging, cash flow, forecasts, and performance.
  • Coordinate with procurement, treasury, and accounting teams to ensure alignment and timely payments.
  • Support financial audits with documentation and process narratives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CA/MBA preferred.
  • 7+ years of accounts payable experience with at least 3 years in a managerial/supervisory role.
  • Strong expertise in payables processes, team leadership, and compliance management.
  • Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems and advanced MS Excel.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
