Job Description

A leading insurance consulting and technology firm seeks a Finance Tester to support a large-scale transformation programme. The successful candidate will have strong experience in insurance finance systems and cash management.

The role involves validating end-to-end financial processes, with a focus on penny testing, subledger reconciliation, and cash lifecycle testing (bank statement matching, AR/AP, treasury payments).

Key responsibilities include developing and executing test cases for insurance-specific finance processes, testing integrations between policy administration systems, claims systems, and the finance subledger, and validating IFRS/UK GAAP postings.

  • Penny Testing: Validating transactions down to the pence/cent level, ensuring accurate postings from policy admin, claims, and reinsurance systems.
  • Subledger Reconciliation: Verifying postings from policy admin, claims, and reinsurance systems, and ensuring correct cash allocation to policies, claims, and premiums.
  • Cash Lifecycle Testing: Testing outward payments, credit control, and cash application to ensure accurate cash management.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. You should have experience in insurance finance systems, including policy admin, claims, and reinsurance systems.

Familiarity with JIRA and other project management tools is also desirable.
