Senior Finance Automation Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Finance Automation Specialist to lead the end-to-end automation of finance and business processes, embedding robust controls for accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for defining and documenting standard operating procedures and internal controls in line with GAAP and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead technical teams in the design, build, and deployment of automation solutions, analytics platforms, and accelerators, ensuring alignment with client requirements;
  2. Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, deliverables, and resource allocation to ensure successful and timely delivery;
  3. Oversight of integration of automation tools with financial systems, SQL databases, and reporting platforms (Power BI, etc.) for process standardisation, scalability, and data integrity across automated workflows;
  4. Collaboration with stakeholders for requirements gathering, solution onboarding, user acceptance, and training;
  5. Continuously monitor and optimise automated processes for performance, reliability, and compliance;
  6. Provide clear project updates, risk assessments, and recommendations to internal leadership.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CA, CPA, or equivalent preferred;
  • 4+ years' experience in FP&A, financial reporting, or consulting, with a strong hands-on background in process automation and controls;
  • Proven experience directing technical teams on analytics platform and automation solution delivery;
  • Proficiency in SQL, financial analytics, and reporting/dashboard tools (e.g., Power BI);
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, controls, and process documentation;
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and budgets in a fast-paced consulting environment;
  • Excellent communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills;
  • Organised, detail-oriented, proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement.
