Energy Transition Specialist

We are seeking an experienced professional to drive business development efforts and facilitate the energy transition in India. As a key member of our team, you will lead market expansion initiatives and manage complex projects that align with our mission to advance climate and energy solutions.

  • Leverage your established network and local connections to develop, structure, and close financial transactions for our current and upcoming energy transition projects in India.
  • Collaborate closely with our leadership to oversee a diverse portfolio of projects, encompassing business development, origination, new market initiatives, and project management.
  • Effectively coordinate with multiple stakeholders (including clients, consultants, industry players, and regulatory bodies).
  • Supervise and prepare client deliverables including research and write-ups, papers, concept notes, and presentations.
  • Lead management of transactions and engagements.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in climate, energy transition, finance, and business development.
  • Exceptional communication skills and strong connections within the Indian power and/or finance community.
  • A deep understanding of India's electricity, capital, and financial markets.
  • Proven track record in deal closure, particularly in debt and/or equity financing in India, including project finance, private debt, loan syndication, and structured finance.
  • Prior experience in country team management or a supervisory role is preferred.
  • Highly professional and reliable in approach.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling required.
  • Strong team player mentality with ability to manage both teams and large transactions.
  • Proven success in client management.
  • Entrepreneurial, creative, and self-driven.
