Job Summary

The Deputy General Manager Human Resources position plays a pivotal role in leading the HR function for Quality & Operations functions at a manufacturing site. This individual will provide strategic HR business partnership to the Site Leadership team, developing and implementing human resources strategy and policy in support of business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic HR Partner: Spearhead employee relations and human resource programs and practices, partnering with business to understand needs and align people strategy.
  • Talent Acquisition and Onboarding: Responsible for talent acquisition, ensuring best-in-class onboarding experience, and identifying manpower requirements based on business priorities.
  • HR Manpower Planning, Budgeting: Assist in budgeting process, monitor actual spend, and identify opportunities for savings.
  • Performance Management: Drive performance management and annual compensation reviews, training line managers on goal setting and sharing feedback.
  • Talent Management: Implement talent management reviews, create succession plans, and drive development/retention plans.
  • Learning & Development: Promote a culture of learning and high performance, identify training needs, and evaluate training efficacy.
  • HR Compliance & Statutory Obligations: Ensure HR legal compliances, maintain records, and represent the organization at various Associations related to Human Resources.
  • Labour Management: Maintain harmonious and productive IR environment, ensure statutory compliances are followed by manpower vendors, and resolve employee grievances.
  • Employee Engagement & Wellbeing: Implement initiatives to impact key drivers of employee engagement and lead wellbeing initiatives at the site.
  • HR Operations: Supervise and review all HR operations pertaining to employee lifecycle, streamlining and bringing in more efficiency.

Educational Qualifications:

MBA HR/Masters in Human Resource Management

Experience:

  • 15+ Years' experience handling HR function, with experience in Manufacturing set-up preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • HR Operations, Industrial Relations
  • Understanding of labour legislations
  • Strong business acumen
  • Excellent management skills with ability to influence management
  • Excellent Analytical ability
  • Ability to interface with all levels of management, especially senior level stakeholders
