About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to drive our database development efforts. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale databases using Oracle database management systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop complex databases to support business growth
  • Implement data warehousing and extraction transformation loading (ETL) solutions to enhance data insights
  • Optimize database performance using Oracle performance tuning concepts and tools
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data engineering solutions into larger projects

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in database development, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Strong PL/SQL skills, including experience with stored procedures, DDL/DML triggers, views, indexes, cursors, functions, and user-defined data types
  • Expertise in Oracle performance tuning concepts, including Oracle hints and EXPLAIN PLAN tool
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing and ETL principles
  • Experience working with RDBMS (Oracle)
  • Familiarity with Snowflake cloud data platform and utilities such as SnowSQL, SnowPipe, and data loading within cloud (AWS or Azure)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Good understanding of native dynamic SQL, bulk binding techniques, and packages/procedures/functions
  • Experience with Oracle SQL Loader/External File Utilities to load files
