Industrial Automation Business Leader

This role involves driving business growth through strategic leadership and solution selling. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Indian market and be able to develop and execute plans to gain leadership position in Industrial automation.

The following are key responsibilities for this role:

  • Planning, Forecasting and Strategy: Define and implement strategy for the end user segment and explore new opportunities to drive aggressive growth targets.
  • Solution Selling: Set up sales objectives for the segment, define formalize and communicate the sales strategy processes and manage solutions selling opportunity portfolio and pipeline for the segment.
  • Prescription: Step-up prescription activities in all respects to provide system architecture support to end user business.
  • Market Analysis: Analyse market dynamics, tops down and bottoms up market estimation, vertical segmentation and analysis, growth sectors, focus products and sales feedback to management.
  • Key Account Management: Develop an excellent base of key accounts, identify, retain and convert accounts and ensure optimal service and support deliverables for business growth.
  • Product and Solution Life Cycle Management: Product launch, pricing, positioning, life cycle management, competitor information and analysis and product promotion and publicity.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Specialised Knowledge: Graduate engineering in electronics or instrumentation with degree in business management.
  • Minimum 15 Years of Experience: In sales and business development out of which 5 years should have been leading a reasonable size sales team in same or related industry.
  • Strategic and Operational Skills: Both solution sales and marketing customer agility and response knowledge of EU customer and process OEM customer buying criteria and market trends influencing buying criteria.
  • Behavioural Skills: Strategic abilities and result orientation networking and working in collaborative matrix environment people management skills has to be very high and should be matured and possess natural leadership skills.
