Job Title: Industrial Automation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Automation Specialist to lead the design, configuration and deployment of advanced automation systems in manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure and deploy industrial automation systems including Ignition SCADA and MES applications.
  • Develop and maintain secure, efficient data exchange using REST APIs, MQTT and OPC UA protocols.
  • Manage industrial databases, SQL historian and timeseries databases for high availability and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align system capabilities with production and business needs.
  • Provide technical leadership in digital transformation initiatives such as Industry 4.0 and predictive analytics.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong background in MES functions, production tracking, OEE, downtime analysis, traceability and SPC.
  • Proficiency with database technologies including SQL Server, MySQL and PostgreSQL.
  • Hands-on experience with OT/IT integration technologies, REST APIs for system interconnectivity, MQTT for IIoT messaging and lightweight communication, OPC UA for industrial interoperability.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial control systems, PLC, SCADA HMIs and plant floor connectivity.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing standards including ISA95, ISA88 and ISA99.
