Senior Study Abroad Counselor

Job Summary:

This role involves engaging with assigned leads, initiating contact through the auto dialer system, and qualifying them for upGrad's programs. It requires building rapport, credibility, and trust with leads through effective communication and active listening.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Qualify leads by assessing their interest, needs, and eligibility for upGrad's programs.
  • Brief leads on program details and benefits, followed by scheduling video counselling sessions with admission counsellors.
  • Maintain accurate records of lead interactions and follow-up activities in the CRM system.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in ed-tech sales, preferably in a study abroad setting.
  • Graduation is required; previous experience working a 6-day work week is preferred.
  • Proven track record of meeting targets in existing roles.

Skills:

  • Excellent verbal communication skills, with fluency in English.
  • Effective listening skills, with the ability to build trust and approach situations with patience and empathy.
  • Persuasive abilities to influence learner enrollment decisions.
