Job Description

The Sourcing and Supply Chain Manager will oversee a team of professionals in achieving strategic objectives. This role involves developing and implementing cost-effective sourcing strategies, identifying new suppliers, and conducting analysis to identify opportunities for improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement short-term and long-term sourcing strategies aligned with business goals
  • Identify and develop new suppliers for precision-machined components
  • Conduct cost analysis, benchmarking, and identify opportunities for cost savings through alternate sourcing, process improvements, and vendor consolidation
  • Handle the sourcing of engineering components, controls, and drives for large machines
  • Manage procurement of imported and locally sourced parts such as hydraulics, mechanical, electronics, and electrical components
  • Oversee supplier development, negotiations, and warranty claims management with back-to-back warranty arrangements
  • Ensure uninterrupted supply of materials and services at optimal cost, quality, and timelines for machine production
  • Provide expertise and advisory support for vendor development on new and existing projects
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders
  • Review departmental SOPs, systems, and procedures regularly; identify bottlenecks and suggest process improvements to meet customer requirements consistently
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering
  • 18–25 years of core supply chain management experience
  • Minimum 10+ years heading complete sourcing and supplier development function
  • Strong background in tool room or machine-building industry
  • Age: 42–45 years
  • Preferred: Experience in capital equipment or project-based procurement, including machine selection, negotiation, and purchase
