Job Title: Senior Component Sourcing Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Component Sourcing Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and procuring electronic components, sensors, PCBs, and related hardware for wearable and IoT devices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sourcing and Procurement: Identify, evaluate, and procure high-quality electronic components including sensors, PCBs, flex PCBs, ICs, batteries, and other hardware from global suppliers.
  • Vendor Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and vendors, ensuring timely delivery of components and resolving any supply chain issues.
  • Negotiation and Contract Management: Negotiate purchase orders, contracts, and agreements with suppliers to achieve cost efficiency and ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Tech Requirements: Collaborate with engineering and R&D teams to understand technical requirements and translate them into sourcing specifications, ensuring that the sourced components meet the required standards.
  • Quality and Compliance: Ensure compliance with quality standards, certifications (RoHS, REACH, IEC, BIS, etc.), and regulatory requirements, maintaining accurate records and reports.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, lead times, and supply risks, proactively mitigating shortages or delays, and optimizing inventory management processes.
  • Supplier Diversity: Evaluate and onboard alternate suppliers to reduce single-source dependency, promoting diversity and reducing supply chain risks.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate procurement records, develop cost analysis reports, and provide insights to support business decisions.
  • NPI Support: Support new product introduction by ensuring timely component availability, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth product launches.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in procurement/supply chain for electronics or hardware, with a proven track record of achieving cost savings and improving supply chain efficiency.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of electronic components, PCBs, and sensors, with expertise in identifying and sourcing high-quality components.
  • Global Sourcing: Experience in vendor management and global sourcing, with a focus on developing and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Import/Export Procedures: Familiarity with import/export procedures, logistics, and customs clearance, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency in Excel, ERP systems, and procurement tools, with ability to analyze data and provide insights to support business decisions.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
