Key Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Component Specification Manager to create and maintain component specifications, develop detailed technical specifications for mechanical/electrical components, and standardize product specifications in line with customer and regulatory requirements.

Collaboration and Communication

The ideal candidate will have strong collaboration and communication skills, reviewing and approving engineering drawings, collaborating with design teams to verify drawing accuracy and completeness, and interfacing with suppliers to obtain technical data and ensure specification adherence.

Component Standardization and Maintenance

This role requires a skilled professional to support efforts to standardize components and reduce part proliferation, maintain component libraries (in PLM or ERP systems), and ensure that specifications meet relevant international standards.

Documentation and Compliance

The successful candidate will ensure that specifications meet relevant international standards, maintain up-to-date technical documentation in internal systems, and handle engineering change requests (ECRs) and change orders (ECOs).

Change Management

We require someone to handle engineering change requests (ECRs) and change orders (ECOs), update and communicate specification changes across departments, and participate in the design and review of new components during NPI processes.
