About this role:

We are looking for a seasoned procurement specialist to manage Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) sourcing activities. This involves identifying and evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and building strong relationships with vendors to secure high-quality materials.

Key responsibilities:

  • Identify, evaluate, and qualify API suppliers globally based on client needs.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and supply agreements with vendors to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality.
  • Manage end-to-end procurement processes, including request for quotations (RFQs), purchase orders, and supply contracts.
  • Monitor supplier performance, compliance, and adherence to quality, delivery, and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams for seamless operations.
  • Track market trends, supply risks, and alternative sourcing options to maintain a reliable supply base.

Requirements and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in API sourcing, procurement, or supplier management within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Familiarity with global regulatory requirements for API sourcing.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a client-facing environment.
