Job Description

The Strategic Planning Associate plays a pivotal role in driving business growth by developing and executing planning strategies that align with company objectives. This position requires a strong foundation in merchandising, inventory management, and data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and plan inward movement based on sales trends and revenue targets.
  • Assortment Planning: Create seasonal buy plans and assortment strategies using historical performance and revenue targets.
  • Performance Analysis: Review style-level metrics including sales growth, sell-through rates, and return on investment.
  • Category Expansion: Analyze assortment gaps and recommend brand or category additions to strengthen offerings.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need the following skills and qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate degree from a reputable institution.
  • Experience: 6–7 years of experience in buying/planning/merchandising.
  • Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of planning and inventory management principles.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced MS Excel skills and familiarity with SQL is a plus.
  • Mindset: Customer-centric, analytical, and creative problem solver.
  • Collaboration: Strong team player with excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Multitasking: Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Initiative: Willingness to learn, innovate, and take ownership.
