Enterprise Backup Specialist

We are seeking a skilled professional to manage, monitor and support enterprise backup and recovery solutions in a large-scale environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • L1: Monitor daily backup jobs, handle basic troubleshooting for failed backups, perform restore jobs, escalate unresolved issues and maintain documentation and logs.
  • L2: Troubleshoot complex backup/restore failures, configure backup policies, deduplication and storage targets, coordinate with application, OS and storage/network teams and perform catalog/database recovery and patching.
  • L3: Design and implement enterprise backup strategies, optimize and automate backup infrastructure using scripting, lead major incident troubleshooting and define best practices and compliance standards.

Required Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with Commvault and Veeam, backup configuration and restores for databases (SQL, Oracle, SAP HANA, Exchange) and experience with deduplication, storage policies, media servers.
  • Knowledge of Windows, Linux, VMware, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), tape libraries, D2D2T backups and familiarity with scripting/automation (PowerShell, Shell, Python).

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Commvault, Veeam and other backup technologies as well as excellent communication and teamwork skills.
