Role Overview:

As a Storage & Backup Engineer, you'll design, implement, and manage enterprise-level storage and backup systems. You'll ensure data availability, integrity, and performance across physical, virtual, and cloud infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and maintain storage and backup solutions (SAN, NAS, object storage).
  • Manage enterprise backup technologies (e.g., Veeam, NetBackup, Commvault).
  • Monitor storage performance, capacity, and availability.
  • Automate routine tasks using scripts (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
  • Perform data recovery testing and maintain disaster recovery plans.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and cloud teams on storage strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with data retention and backup policies.

Requirements:

  • 3–5+ years of experience in storage and backup administration.
  • Strong knowledge of storage systems (e.g., Dell EMC, NetApp, HPE, Pure Storage).
  • Proficient in backup platforms like Veeam, Commvault, or Rubrik.
  • Hands-on experience with VMware, Windows/Linux, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Scripting experience for automation (PowerShell, Python, etc.).
  • Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
