Key project financial management is essential for effective project execution and success.

Responsibilities:
  • Financial Planning and Budgeting: Prepare comprehensive project budgets, forecasts, and plans that align with business objectives. Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely completion of financial tasks.
  • Project Invoicing and Compliance: Ensure accurate and timely project invoicing, adherence to tax regulations, and compliance with contractual requirements. Monitor and control site expenses to minimize costs.
  • Cash Flow Management: Optimize cash flow, revenues, and gross margin contribution through proactive analysis and mitigation of risks and opportunities.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks, assess their impact, and implement effective mitigation strategies to ensure timely implementation.
  • Commercial Awareness: Promote commercial awareness within the project team, providing valuable insights and input to inform project execution decisions.

 

  • Client Communication: Coordinate with clients for approval on invoices, payments, and compliance purposes.
  • Billing Register Maintenance: Maintain an updated billing register, capturing details of billings, status on approval, payment, various deductions with categories and reasons, and follow-ups to collect deducted amounts.
  • Expense Control: Monitor and control site expenses, weekly reporting of project expenses, and reconciliation of SAP entries with invoices.
  • Cost Analysis: Analyze actual vs. budgeted costs and revenue, highlighting potential issues to stakeholders.
  • Project Actualisation: Lead project actualisation (actua) activities at defined frequencies, coordinate with the project team to obtain required data, discuss with stakeholders to prepare finance-related slides in the actua presentation, and upload the actua in SAP post-approval from required people.
  • Kappa Review: Review Kappa against budgeted costs, highlighting costs exceeding the budget, and check adequate documents are attached with Kappa.
  • Project Slides: Share project slides for monthly business review in accordance with the timeline defined by the project team, keeping stakeholders informed.
  • Provisions Verification: Comprehensive check on provisions to ensure accuracy, completeness for monthly closing, and alignment with accounting rules and guidelines.
  • Cash Verification: Conduct monthly cash verification and surprise verification at least once a month, reporting results to stakeholders.
  • IFC Compliance: Lead and supervise compliance on Internal Financial Controls (IFC) as defined by guidelines.
  • Guarantees Monitoring: Monitor ABG, PBG, and any other guarantees, insurances to ensure timely renewal/reduction as per contractual conditions.
  • Support and Guidance: Provide support to the execution team and become an integral part of the project team, offering core finance support for all finance-related matters on site.
  • Anticipation and Resolution: Anticipate issues, discuss with stakeholders, and take proactive actions to resolve issues.
  • Man Days Filling: Timely filling of man days for self against respective projects.
  • Staff Timesheets: Check that staff timesheets working on his project are filled timely and properly.
  • Site Accountant Supervision: Supervise day-to-day work of site accountant, provide guidance and support for efficient conduct of site tasks.
  • Central Controlling Support: Support central controlling team on various analyses and ad-hoc requests.
