Job Title: Project Financial Manager

Job Description

This is a unique opportunity to lead and manage projects throughout their entire lifecycle, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in commercial project management, with a strong understanding of financial principles and project management methodologies.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead and manage projects from initiation to closure, ensuring all aspects are well-planned, executed, and monitored.
  • Active involvement in sales and project initiation phases, including customer requirements analysis, commercial and contractual feasibility assessment, and risk identification.
  • Review and evaluation of contract conditions, including legal scrutiny, to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct regular project status meetings with stakeholders, ensuring all parties are informed and aligned with project objectives.
  • Ensure the correct methodology for evaluating risks and opportunities is applied, and develop appropriate response strategies to mitigate potential issues.
  • Identify, evaluate, assess risks and opportunities, and develop effective mitigation strategies to minimize their impact.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, including export control regulations, hedging/currency regulations, and compliance with local GAAP requirements.
  • Coordinate onshore and offshore allocations with the Project Manager, ensuring seamless collaboration and communication.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls (RIC), including ICFR, and maintain accurate project books and records, including SAP data.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A qualified degree in finance or a related field, such as CA/ICWA/CMA/MBA.
  • Proven six to eight years of experience in commercial project management, with a strong track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Excellent negotiation and contract management skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance standards, including export control regulations and hedging/currency regulations.
  • Leadership and team management capabilities, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to deliver high-quality results.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential issues.
  • Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to use these tools to analyze and present data.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
