As a legal advisor, you will play a key role in ensuring that our business operations are compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial law, employment law, and data protection, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
You will be responsible for providing advice on a wide range of legal issues, including contract negotiation, dispute resolution, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
In addition to your technical expertise, you will also need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as you will be working closely with colleagues across different departments.
We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual who is able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing comprehensive legal support to various agencies under our network across South Asia.
- Advising stakeholders at all levels on a broad range of legal matters.
- Managing and overseeing litigation and arbitration matters.
- Drafting, negotiating, and advising on medium to high complexity commercial agreements.
- Providing legal support and guidance on employment law matters.
- Collating and maintaining meticulous records and correspondence relating to litigation and compliance matters.
Requirements include:
- LL.B with 6-8 years post-qualification experience as an in-house lawyer and/or in law firms.
- Experience in the Media & Entertainment or Information Technology industry is an advantage.
- Diplomas in legal vocations/subjects such as advertising laws, media and entertainment, intellectual property rights, data privacy, or compliance are desirable but not mandatory.
- Strong commercial acumen and a solution-oriented approach.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English.
- Ability to identify legal risks, issues, and solutions across a broad spectrum of legal areas.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage complex, interrelated tasks and deliver under pressure.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Proactively keeping abreast of legal and regulatory developments.
- Fostering a culture of ethical conduct and compliance throughout the organization.
- Supporting the development and implementation of policies and procedures relating to ethics, compliance, data privacy, and GAI.
