Job Title:

Corporate Legal Professional

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong legal knowledge and excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling corporate and commercial legal matters, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, managing disputes, and overseeing corporate governance.

Responsibilities:
  • Commercial Legal Support:
    • Provide timely and accurate legal counsel to stakeholders on various legal topics, including contractual matters, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
    • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, GTCs, NDAs, MOUs, and other related documents.
    • Develop or update contract templates and adapt existing templates to local requirements.
    • Assist with insurance claims and queries.
    • Identify and mitigate legal and regulatory risks.
  • Compliance:
    • Act as the compliance point of contact for the region.
    • Implement Group compliance programs.
    • Train business teams on compliance-related issues.
  • Dispute and Litigation Management:
    • Manage disputes, pre-litigation, and litigation matters.
    • Develop effective strategies to resolve legal issues.
    • Liaise with external counsel for outsourced legal matters.
    • Supervise and coordinate with business teams to gather facts and evidence.
  • Corporate Governance:
    • Oversee corporate secretarial and compliance-related matters.
    • Manage corporate governance projects.
    • Coordinate with external consultants.
  • Advisory and Stakeholder Support:
    • Offer strategic advice to internal stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with sales, operations, and support teams.
  • General Legal Support:
    • Handle special assignments and projects.
    • Maintain records and reports for regulatory compliance.
    Requirements:
    • Strong legal knowledge and skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Proficient in translating complex legal concepts into practical business advice.
