Senior Legal Manager

 

About the Role:

This is a senior leadership position in the legal department, requiring a seasoned lawyer with extensive experience in corporate law, litigation, and contract management.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic legal advice to the business, managing external counsel relationships, and overseeing the legal aspects of company operations.

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert legal advice on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and contractual disputes.

  • Lead and manage complex litigation cases, working closely with external counsel to achieve optimal outcomes.

  • Develop and implement effective legal strategies to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and address potential legal issues, ensuring that the business operates within established parameters.

  • Manage external counsel relationships, coordinating legal services and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work product.

 

Requirements:

  • Advanced degree in law (LLB or LLM) from a reputable institution.

  • At least 15 years of post-qualification experience in corporate law, preferably in a multinational environment.

  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality legal advice, coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines.
