Job Title: Trade Compliance Specialist

This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of trade compliance and product-related data.

  • Conduct thorough research to classify trade information, including Harmonized Tariff Schedule codes and Export Control Classification Numbers
  • Utilize supplier documentation to determine additional product attributes such as UN hazardous codes and UNSPSC codes
  • Process ad hoc classification requests from stakeholders
  • Identify and interpret customs rulings to ensure accurate classifications
  • Archives and maintains supporting documentation for compliance purposes
  • Maintains compliance data in systems
  • Provides reporting on completed work

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining metadata to support automated assignment of data
  • Administering quality audit processes to ensure accurate data collection and classification within the team
  • Staying informed of emerging compliance developments and assessing the impact of legislative changes
  • Developing detailed work instructions
  • Providing training and guidance to other employees

The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and excellent written and spoken English skills. Background or experience with electronic components and SAP is desirable. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Logistics, Business, or a related field is required.
