Role Description

As a compliance specialist, you will be responsible for conducting customs trade HTS & ECCN classification determinations for spare parts, products, and other items. This includes ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulations through data collection and record-keeping.

The role also involves supporting compliance training and audit activities to promote a culture of compliance within the organization. You will generate and analyze compliance reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Additionally, you will participate in root cause analysis of international trade issues and recommend solutions to implement corrective actions. Support is also provided for Customs inquiries related to product classifications and expert guidance on trade compliance matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct customs trade HTS & ECCN classification determinations for spare parts, products, and other items.
  • Ensure accuracy and adherence to regulations through data collection and record-keeping.
  • Support compliance training and audit activities.
  • Generate and analyze compliance reports.
  • Participate in root cause analysis of international trade issues.
  • Provide support for Customs inquiries and expert guidance on trade compliance matters.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of advanced technology and processes involved in Semiconductor, Flat Panel, and Solar Cell manufacturing.
  • Understanding of import and/or export trade compliance elements, including Harmonized Tariff Schedules, Export Classification Commodity Numbers, Customs entry process, and Customs invoicing requirements.
  • Ability to conduct classification analysis using various trade tools, such as GRIs, CROSS rulings, WCO explanatory notes, and Export Regulations.
