Job Opportunity

The technical marketing engineer for Mission Critical telecommunication solutions has the global responsibility to enable pre-sales and sales communities of different regional HUBs to understand technical market requirements for wired telecommunication networks and ensure customer interaction in line with global solution product strategy.

A key objective is to drive sales by providing relevant customer and market inputs to product management and R&D activities, ensuring market alignment and relevance.

This role involves:

  • Adapting HVDC Cyber security for SCADA, HMI, and developing architecture and functional descriptions for functions and solutions for future HVDC in cyber security technologies.
  • Preparing and performing test case scenarios, participating in FST, supporting projects in resolving issues related to Cyber security Functions.

This position requires a secured network architecture for SCADA systems with advanced cyber security features. Evaluating and strengthening the security of any connections to the SCADA network will be a critical task. Monitoring and validating third-party security patches will also be essential to maintain system reliability.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Establishing strong controls over any medium used as a backdoor into the SCADA network.
  • Implementing internal and external intrusion detection systems in the SCADA network.
  • Performing technical audits of SCADA devices and networks and any other connected networks to identify security concerns.
  • Conducting physical security surveys and assessing all remote sites connected to the SCADA network to evaluate their security.
  • Maintaining the test environment with updated software and hardware for current and future use.
  • Being responsible for backup and image handling on servers and workstations and patch management.
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or IT with minimum knowledge in networking, protections, and IEEE/IEC standards.
  • Knowledge and skills in Networking, Security, Anti-Virus, and C/C++ programming languages.
  • Experience in SCADA projects will be an added advantage.
  • Basic knowledge on MS Office (Word, Excel) and self-starter calibre who can own tasks through to completion.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
