Job Overview

This is a leadership role that oversees the establishment and growth of community-driven sports academies across India. The primary goal is to make sports accessible to children and adults by creating sustainable platforms that provide coaching, play infrastructure, and recreational sport experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a strategic roadmap to expand pay-and-play academies in Tier I and II cities in India.
  • Determine key markets, sports disciplines, pricing strategies, and delivery models for scalable operations.
  • Foster partnerships with schools, municipal bodies, sports complexes, and private venues.
Business Development & Operations
  • Promote customer acquisition, community engagement, and retention through marketing and on-ground activities.
  • Evaluate operational KPIs including enrollment, utilization, revenue, and customer service.
Financial Management
  • Design revenue models, pricing structures, and payment gateways.
  • Prepare standalone P&L statements for the pay-and-play vertical focusing on profitability and cash flow optimization.
  • Secure sponsorships, local partnerships, and CSR funding when necessary.
Team Leadership
  • Hire and manage regional managers, academy coordinators, and coaching staff.
  • Cultivate a culture of operational excellence, accountability, and service orientation.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in sports operations, academy management, or consumer services.
  • A proven track record of building scalable grassroots or youth-centric businesses in sports, education, or fitness.
  • MBA or equivalent preferred; strong commercial and operational acumen is essential.
  • Experience working with tech platforms, CRM tools, and digital marketing is beneficial.
  • A strong network in the Indian sports ecosystem is advantageous.
