Area Operations Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Area Operations Manager to join our team at Lenskart. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and expanding our business in the respective area, managing store operations, and increasing customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Driving Sales and Customer Service:
- Meet or exceed sales plans for the respective territory monthly, quarterly, and annually.
- Provide exceptional customer service to increase Net Promoter Score (NPS) for the store.
- Drive a culture of high sales performance expectations.
- Motivate and inspire field teams to drive results.
- Review financial performance at the regional level to identify improvement opportunities.
- Translate corporate goals into business plans.
- Assess field capability and establish performance priorities.
- Manpower Planning & People Development:
- Work with HR and Store Managers to ensure adequate staffing levels.
- Direct responsibility for professional development of Lenskart Associates.
- Assess and prioritize advanced management skill gaps.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.
- Establish a culture that embraces diversity and maximizes learnings from a diverse team.
- Managing P&L of the Assigned Stores:
- Manage and maintain territory and store budgets to ensure profitability.
- Manage top and bottom line effectively of assigned territory and stores.
- Reduce shrinkage.
- Manage productivity of staff.
- Use cost-effective methods to ensure productivity.
- Managing and Maintaining High Standards of Retail Operations:
- Regular store visits to audit stores, coach Store Managers, motivate staff, check VM, stock availability, store hygiene, and grooming.
- Analyze data before store visits to monitor sales, assess productivity, and review measures to achieve performance targets.
- Bridge communication between Management and floor.
- Inventory Management:
- Ensure availability of required merchandise and services at assigned stores.
- Balance inventory levels and make key decisions about inventory control.
- Conduct physical verification of inventory on regular intervals.
- Ensure staff has basic understanding of POS System.
- Conduct quality checks for new products.
- Reduce shrinkage at store level.
Requirements:
- Full-time postgraduate with 7-9 years of relevant experience in retail industry.
- Post-graduation is a must.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Hands-on experience working on Microsoft Office, including Excel, PPT, and Word.
- Strong interpersonal skills, sales-oriented, and management/leadership skills.
- Strong organizational skills and team-building skills.
