Marine Operations Associate Job Description

This role is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the fleet. The position involves coordinating with various departments, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and assisting in the scheduling and execution of voyages.

Main Responsibilities:
  • To ensure that all vessels under time charter meet terms and conditions by monitoring noon reports/position reports and coordinating with masters.
  • To collect cargo documents from vessels at load/discharge ports.
  • To evaluate and analyze vessel performance in charterers' performance format.
  • To prepare freight invoices and demurrage claims as per charter party, and follow up with charterers for timely payment.
  • To send deck and engine logs after each voyage to charterers within stipulated time.
  • To raise timely invoices for charter hire, freight, bunkers, and demurrage to charterers or brokers.
  • To assist the Vessel Operation Superintendent in day-to-day work for smooth vessel operation.
  • To select, appoint, and approve agents' PDA and FDA.

This is a full-time on-site role, requiring excellent communication skills and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational abilities and be proficient in managing documentation and liaising with clients.
