Job Summary:

The Navigation Integrated Systems Engineer plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless maintenance and operation of navigation integrated systems onboard vessels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining compliance with international rules and regulations regarding IMS;
  • Adhering to quality, health, safety, environmental, and ethics standards in all duties;
  • Developing and implementing performance improvement plans for regular review and assessment;
  • Conducting surveys, health checks, and maintenance of navigation integrated systems, providing support to vessels and shore teams while conducting risk assessments for new situations or planned interventions;
  • Managing vessel repairs within time and budget by sourcing optimal solutions from partners;
  • Supporting and monitoring vessel compliance with flag and class requirements related to navigation integrated systems;
  • Providing feedback and challenging repair proposals from partners or vendors to ensure operational availability;
  • Contributing to the issuance of experience feedback and lessons learned from vessel's navigation integrated systems to enhance reliability;
  • Maintaining an up-to-date database of radio and navigation systems onboard and discussing lifecycle strategies with expert teams;
  • Assessing and evaluating partners and key vendors regularly;
  • Preparing annual budgets for assigned vessels in consultation with Expert/Superintendents/Vessel managers;
  • Attending vessels in ports when required to stay updated on equipment services.
