Compliance Lead

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Compliance Lead to oversee the company's compliance program, ensuring adherence to all relevant statutory and regulatory requirements. This role is responsible for managing the company's compliance risk, developing and implementing effective policies and procedures, and providing guidance to employees on compliance matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to all relevant statutory and regulatory requirements, including the Companies Act, SEBI regulations, and other financial laws applicable to a listed company.
  • Compliance Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate potential compliance risks across the organization, developing and implementing robust internal policies and procedures.
  • Statutory Filings: Oversee the preparation and timely filing of all regulatory documents and returns with authorities such as the Registrar of Companies (ROC), Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA), and SEBI for the listed entities and all subsidiary entities.
  • Internal Audits: Conduct regular internal audits and reviews to ensure continuous adherence to regulations and internal policies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Mandatory Qualifications: A qualified Company Secretary (CS) with a minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior compliance, corporate secretarial, or governance role.
  • Desirable Qualifications: Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is a strong advantage.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior compliance, corporate secretarial, or governance role. Must have experience working in a listed company and handling M&A compliance.
  • Legal & Financial Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of Indian corporate laws, financial regulations, accounting standards, and taxation.
  • Regulatory Expertise: Strong understanding of regulatory filings and procedures with authorities like the MCA, ROC, SEBI, and RBI.
