Job Summary:

A Dimensional Management Expert is required to oversee the end-to-end dimensional management process for Body in White components and exterior trims during the product development phase. The ideal candidate will define measurement systems, tolerance specifications, and gap & flush plans while collaborating with stakeholders to ensure alignment and robustness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement measurement strategies for Body in White components and exterior trims in line with styling and manufacturing requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze functional requirements and create measurement plans for fitment of modules
  • Perform tolerance stack up studies 1D, 2D, or 3D during development phase to identify potential risks in production and provide solutions
  • Execute tolerance simulation in 3DCS to replicate production processes digitally and validate concepts
  • Ensure quality and timelines of every delivery in project
  • Develop and align sub-module integration concepts to ensure fitment and fulfill production planning requirements
  • Develop and align closures integration concepts in line with gap & flush plans to fulfill requirements

Qualifications:

  • Expert knowledge about usage of 3D tolerance simulation tools (3DCS preferred)
  • Deep understanding about Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and Statistical Process Control (SPC)
  • Understanding about perceived quality and its impact on customer satisfaction
  • Understanding about manufacturing processes in Body in White
  • Working proficiency in NX CAD software
