Job Title: Manufacturing Optimization Specialist

Transform the manufacturing landscape by leveraging process improvement methodologies and innovative thinking.

  • Deliver service improvements across the business by applying continuous improvement techniques and collaborating with key stakeholders.
  • Build a culture of ongoing improvement to support a manufacturing transformation, leading and facilitating value stream mapping practices.
  • Identify and eliminate unnecessary complexity in business processes to achieve better value and efficiency.
  • Develop and implement a best-in-class continuous improvement strategy, taking ownership of change initiatives from inception to delivery.
  • Implement standard world-class manufacturing frameworks across pan-India plants, working with teams to devise new support materials.
  • Monitor project risks to foresee potential problems and proactively identify solutions.
  • Ensure business impact and project objectives are identified, reported on, and managed at all times.
  • Set up programs, deliver coaching, and run projects across plants, completing post-implementation reviews to ensure successful delivery.
  • Improve efficiency KPIs in manufacturing sites and implement lean methods to increase efficiency and operational excellence.
  • Take ownership of change initiatives from evolution/efficiency identification through to project delivery via internal governance and controls.
  • Support plant teams in benchmarking, problem-solving, and continuous improvement programs, cascading KPIs and KRAs at all business levels.
  • Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks, ensuring relevant ongoing learning and development of employees in Lean improvement tools.
  • Cultivate excellent communication skills and ability to interact professionally with diverse groups of partners, senior managers, and subject matter experts.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Good honors degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Excellent understanding of continuous improvement concepts, including Six Sigma and Lean.
  • Strong analytical, project, and product management skills, including interpreting business needs and translating them into operational requirements.
  • Ability to set up, facilitate, and lead service improvement/workshops with a range of business stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Project, Visio, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • End-to-End Coordinator with accountability for ideas from inception to delivery.
  • Experience in designing or implementing a framework of continuous improvement.
  • Hands-on implementation of continuous improvement programs and Lean solutions.
