Job Title

The Senior Manager of Data Center Operations is a key leadership role responsible for the operational integrity, commissioning and regulatory compliance of data center systems.

This senior management position involves leading cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence through fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture.

Responsibilities
  • Provides technical expertise for the entire data center, including electrical, mechanical, control and water chemistry systems.
  • Coordinates daily operations and critical maintenance activities with contractors and consultants.
  • Ensures relevant teams work effectively to achieve required goals and objectives.
  • Directly interfaces with construction management teams, contractors and consultants for all phased data center construction commissioning.
  • Manages systems to avoid unplanned customer-impacting outages.
  • Conducts training on equipment and procedures with operations/maintenance teams.
  • Participates in rotational on-call schedules to respond to emergency situations at the data center.
Requirements
  • Extended knowledge of current NFPA Electrical, Fire and Life Safety codes.
  • Excellent customer service skills coupled with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be detail oriented, organized and flexible with the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously within a fast-paced environment.

Academic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering or similar field. Required Experience: Extended experience in data center and/or critical facilities operations and maintenance teams/functions.
