Power Electronics Design Engineer

Job Summary:

This is a critical role that involves designing and developing advanced power electronics topologies leveraging recent advancements in components, packaging, and controls.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop high-performance power electronic circuits and systems for various applications.
  • Simulate and analyze complex system models to optimize performance and efficiency.
  • Implement power converter control algorithms using FPGA DSP for hybrid electric and more electric applications.
  • Conduct research and development on power electronics involving modeling, simulation, design, and testing of lab-scale prototypes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to write and present research findings to business customers and technical conferences.

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with at least 4 years of industry experience in advanced technology development.
  • Strong expertise in circuit and system simulation tools such as PLECS, Saber, Matlab Simulink.
  • Hands-on PCB design and hardware design and build experience in power circuits and systems.
  • Experience designing and developing high-frequency magnetics.
  • Proficiency in programming languages including C/C++ and MATLAB.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with a focus on sustainability, safety, and quality.
