Job Opportunity: AVP Control Assurance

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our organization in the role of Associate Vice President (AVP) for Control Assurance.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • At least 8 years of overall experience in Controls Assurance/Testing, with knowledge of principal risks in Data Governance, Data Lineage, Data Quality, Records Management, People Risk, Supplier Risk, Premises, and GRS.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively across a global team.
  • Experience in consolidating and processing information from multiple sources to create meaningful insights and reporting for stakeholders.

In addition to the above requirements, some other valuable skills include:

  • Relevant professional certifications, such as CA, CIA, CS, or MBA.
  • Knowledge of process re-engineering methodologies like LEAN, DMAIC, or Value Mapping would be beneficial but is not essential.
  • Experience working within the financial services industry or in a risk, control, audit, or governance function.
  • Proficiency in Project Management and Change Management, supported by relevant professional qualifications like Prince2 or Project Management Institution.
  • Familiarity with databases and data science/analytics tools, such as SQL, Tableau, Qlik, Power BI, etc.

Candidates may be assessed on key critical skills required for success in the role, including risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, and digital and technology expertise, as well as job-specific technical skills.
