Job Opportunity: Strategic Risk Specialist

Support the Chief Risk Officer in identifying, assessing, and mitigating market, credit, operational, liquidity, and regulatory risks by implementing risk strategies, supporting risk projects, ensuring portfolio risk integration, and flagging outliers for corrective action.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough risk analyses to identify potential risks including market, credit, operational, liquidity, and regulatory risks.
  • Evaluate investment portfolios to assess exposure to various risk factors and provide actionable insights.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, collaborating with the investment team to ensure risk considerations are incorporated into portfolio decisions.
  • Prepare comprehensive risk reports for senior management, providing strategic recommendations and supporting informed decision-making.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field (Master's degree or professional certifications such as FRM, CFA is highly desirable).
  • 7–10 years of experience in risk management, preferably within an investment management or financial services organization.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience in using risk models, quantitative analysis, and stress testing.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex risk information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in risk management software and tools such as Bloomberg, FACTSET, Barra, etc.

Sound knowledge of key regulations, investment markets, and ex-ante portfolio risk management techniques is essential for success in this role.
