Strategic Risk Oversight Specialist

The Strategic Risk Oversight Specialist is a senior-level position responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating operational risks across various departments. This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring the organization's overall risk posture remains robust and aligned with regulatory requirements.

  • Risk Identification and Assessment: Identify and evaluate operational risks, develop risk assessment frameworks and methodologies, and conduct regular risk assessments and reviews to ensure effective mitigation strategies are in place.
  • Risk Mitigation: Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and action plans to minimize potential losses, while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining open communication channels with different teams.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor operational risk indicators and metrics, prepare and present risk reports to senior management, and manage regular Risk meetings with senior stakeholders to maintain transparency and foster collaboration.
  • Third Party Risk Management: Manage third parties, identify potential risks associated with third-party interactions, gather information security controls evidence from third parties, and ensure compliance with regulations to safeguard against potential threats.
  • Policy Development: Assist in the development and updating of operational risk policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and industry best practices to maintain a strong risk culture.
  • System Testing: Conduct thorough UAT for ORM development and implementation, maintain and oversee business continuity management program including appropriate testing to ensure seamless operations.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local and international regulatory requirements, liaise with regulatory bodies, and ensure timely submission of required reports to avoid any non-compliance issues.

For this role, we seek an individual with a bachelor's or master's degree in management, finance, accounting, or a related field, accompanied by at least 7+ years of experience in a risk management capacity. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of Operational Risk in Lending domain, analytical aptitude, logical reasoning ability, presentation, and communication skills.
