Senior Associate Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Associate to join our Retail Banking Ops team, focusing on Cards Operations Issuing.

This is a 6-month contract with remote work arrangements. The ideal candidate will minimize financial losses for the bank, merchants, and cardholders by implementing robust chargeback management processes.

The key strategies and responsibilities include:

Chargeback & Dispute Management
  • Manage daily chargeback cases promptly to prevent financial exposure.
  • Investigate disputes thoroughly and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Analyze trends and root causes of disputes, recommending corrective actions.
Dispute Loss Reduction Strategies
  • Analyze dispute data to identify high-risk merchants or patterns leading to chargebacks.
  • Collaborate with merchants to implement fraud prevention tools and techniques.
  • Share regular insights with stakeholders to improve dispute win rates.
Operational Process Optimization & Risk Mitigation
  • Design and continuously improve operational processes for chargeback handling.
  • Maintain strong financial controls, ensuring compliance with internal risk policies.
  • Balance risk mitigation with service delivery to protect profitability.
Cross-Functional Collaboration and Support
  • Partner with product teams to assess risk impact of new initiatives.
  • Provide input during product design and rollout to ensure risk controls are embedded.
  • Support business decisions by presenting data-driven insights.
Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance
  • Ensure adherence to card scheme chargeback regulations.
