General Management Role

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a risk-based annual internal audit plan in collaboration with management, prioritizing business objectives and assessing the business risk environment.

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive risk management framework to ensure the effective governance of our organization.
  • Lead the execution of the internal audit plan, ensuring timely completion as per the approved plan and reporting to stakeholders.
  • Execute functional audits (in-house or outsourced) according to the annual plan approved by the audit committee.
  • Monitor and report on open internal audit observations to stakeholders monthly.
  • Oversee follow-up audits to assess the effectiveness of management's remediation actions on noted internal audit observations.
  • Maintain and update internal audit SOPs, including templates, protocols, and documentation requirements.
  • Create a repository of audit programs, checklists, templates, and tools to standardize and ensure consistency in internal audit execution.
  • Develop and maintain audit support tools to enhance audit process quality and efficiency.
  • Partner with the Risk Management function to identify and assess entity and functional level risks.
  • Provide input to the risk identification and assessment program for emerging risks identified during internal audit execution.
Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess:

Essential Education: Chartered Accountant

Desired Education: CIA, CISA, CWA

A minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience in implementing, delivering, and embedding risk management at both strategic and operational levels.

Proven experience in undertaking audits across diverse areas of the organization.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interface and influence all levels of management.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in corporate governance, internal audit, and risk management domains. They will be able to effectively communicate complex ideas and concepts to stakeholders and develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth and success.
