Cloud Operations Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Operations Leader to join our team.

  • This role requires strong leadership skills, the ability to manage high-performing teams, and expertise in cloud operations and DevOps initiatives.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience with major cloud platforms, such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, and proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation).
  • They should also have hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and microservices at scale, as well as strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, observability tools, and incident response frameworks.
  • The Cloud Operations Leader will drive operational excellence across multiple cloud platforms, ensuring secure, scalable, and reliable infrastructure.
  • They will define and own Service Level Objectives (SLOs), Service Level Indicators (SLIs), and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for our cloud-based services.
  • In addition, they will build and maintain scalable, secure, and cost-optimized environments across multi-region and multi-cloud deployments.
  • The Cloud Operations Leader will work closely with engineering, product, and data teams to balance speed and reliability in deployments.
  • They will identify opportunities for automation, performance tuning, and infrastructure cost optimization, and implement these improvements.
  • Mentoring and growing the team is also an essential part of this role, requiring strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Requirements:

  • 8–12 years of experience in Cloud Operations, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) roles.
  • 2–3 years of experience managing small to medium-sized technical teams.
  • Strong experience with at least one major cloud platform.
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation).
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and microservices at scale.
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, observability tools, and incident response frameworks.
  • Experience managing cloud costs and driving optimization initiatives.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

Good to Have:

  • Familiarity with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
  • Exposure to data platforms and Machine Learning (ML) infrastructure.
  • Cloud certifications (AWS/GCP/Azure).
