Job Overview

A Compliance Specialist is needed to develop and implement effective compliance programs, ensuring seamless execution across multiple clients and applicable laws and regulations.

This role will lead the audit and compliance team in delivering high-quality reports, conducting internal audits, hosting external auditors, and maintaining regulatory compliance controls.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to establish, implement, and monitor compliance programs per client requirements and relevant laws and regulations.
  • Provide training and resources to team members to enhance their knowledge of compliance practices and procedures.
  • Oversee the audit and compliance team to ensure timely remediation of audit findings.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, auditors, department stakeholders, and internal team members.
  • Assess contractual, financial, or legal implications of changing policies or practices that may lead to non-compliance.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address non-compliance issues effectively and efficiently.
  • Develop and oversee control systems to prevent or address violations of legal guidelines and internal policies.
  • Evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of controls and make continuous improvements.
  • Advise senior leadership and management on business operations related to investment, risk, and policy development as necessary.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of audit experience, with at least 2 years focused on contractual compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory requirements, such as PCI DSS, ISO 2700x, ISO 223001, SOC 2, SOX, HIPAA, and Data Protection.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with a high level of responsibility and integrity.
  • CPA or certified compliance professional is a plus but not required.
  • Legal background and previous studies in law are a plus but not required.
  • At least 2 years of experience in people management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration.
  • Attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
