Payroll Specialist

The role of a Payroll Specialist is crucial in supporting end-to-end payroll operations in India. This position ensures timely data collation, accurate processing, and compliance with statutory requirements.

Key responsibilities include collecting, validating, and consolidating payroll inputs (attendance, leave, overtime, new joiners, exits, variable pay, etc.), assisting in processing monthly payroll and verifying salary computations, ensuring accurate deduction and calculation of statutory components (PF, ESI, PT, LWF, Income Tax, etc.), maintaining payroll records, employee master data, and documentation, and providing data for audits.

Requirements:

  • A graduate degree in Commerce/Finance/HR; an MBA or PGDM is preferred.
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in payroll execution (India payroll).
  • Familiarity with payroll systems such as SAP or ADP.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel (basic to intermediate level).
  • An understanding of Indian statutory payroll compliance.
